7/13 – 5.3 miles - Chain Lakes – Box Spring Trailhead – Not
the easiest trailhead to get to. It is about 1 hour from 108 (although the it
is paved for about 12 miles). The trail itself is over grown in many areas and
much of the hike is through a previous fire area (with one small area seemingly
being very recent). The trail was occasionally hard to stay on. There are two
lakes, the first you arrive to is a beautiful lake, hiking on to the nearby
second lake yields mostly a grassy lake.
